MANILA, Philippines—Matt Erolon drained a three-pointer in the final three seconds to lift Adamson over Far Eastern University, 64-63, Tuesday in the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena.
With the dramatic win, Adamson snapped a five-game losing streak.
Coming off the bench at crunch time, Erolon got a pass from tightly guarded Jerom Lastimosa to hit the game-clinching triple that also avenged the Falcons’ stinging defeat to the Tamaraws in the first round.
Adamson climbed to 2-6 while handing FEU’s fifth loss in eight games.
Emmanuel Ojuola hit six straight points to give the Tamaraws a 60-59 lead. And after a back-and-forth, L-Jay Gonzales sank a charity for a 63-61 lead with 18 seconds to go.
