MANILA, Philippines — Juan Gomez de Liano is set to take his talent Surabaya Vikings Warriors for the ASEAN Basketball League’s return this year.
The 6-foot guard out of University of the Philippines, who played for Tokyo Z in Japan B.League last year, is set to reinforce an Indonesian team, which welcomed him on its social media pages on Wednesday.
“Let’s get to it (Surabaya Vikings Warriors).The marathon continues,” he wrote, sharing the team’s post on his Instagram story.
Gomez de Liano will also play for Platinum Karaoke in the ABL 3×3 Invitational Cup this April in Bali, Indonesia announced in a virtual press conference on Monday.
The 22-year-old played 17 games for Tokyo, averaging 5.3 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game before coming back to the country and played two games for Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
The new ABL team also welcomed DeAngelo Hamilton, Jaywuan Hill, Randy Bell, and Marcus Hammonds.
