B.League: Kiefer’s Shiga drops two in a row, Javi Gomez de Liano scores 15 in loss
MANILA, Philippines — Kiefer Ravena was held to just six points as the Shiga Lakestars suffered a 97-56 blowout to Shimane Susanoo Magic in Japan B.League on Friday at Matsue City Gymnasium.
Ravena was limited to 2-of-6 shooting and had five assists, two rebounds and two steals as Shiga dropped its second consecutive game, sliding to a 14-39 record.
Article continues after this advertisementPerrin Buford anchored Shimane’s 41-point rout, putting up 23 points and 11 rebounds as his squad improved to 24-26.
Novar Gadson led the Lakestars with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds, while Sean O’Mara put up 10 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, Javi Gomez de Liano unloaded 15 points off the bench but the Ibaraki Robots absorbed a 91-73 loss to the Yokohama B-Corsairs at Yokohama Budokan.
Article continues after this advertisementGomez de Liano fired a pair of three-pointers and had three rebounds only for Ibaraki to slide to a 15-35 card, failing to carry the momentum from its 84-78 victory over the Akita Northern Happinets last Wednesday.
Leyton Hammonds showed the way for Yokohama with 21 points and six rebounds for an improved 20-34 record.
Chehales Tapscott powered the Robots with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Eric Jacobsen had a double-double of 16 points and 11 boards.
