MANILA, Philippines—National University made light work of De La Salle, 25-22, 25-15, 25-19, to remain unblemished in the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament Tuesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

The Lady Bulldogs’ usual hitters came to play with Alyssa Solomon at the forefront of yet another lethal offensive display that left the Lady Spikers searching for answers.

Bella Belen and skipper Princess Robles added 13 and 12 points, respectively while Camilla Lamina dished out 15 excellent sets for NU, which improved to 3-0

“We just stuck to our game plan and the girls executed our game plan well and enjoyed the game,” said NU head coach Karl Dimaculangan in Filipino.

“Our defense also proved to be effective against La Salle.”

Solomon also anchored NU’s net defense with four kill blocks while Jennifer Nierva also got things done with 16 excellent receptions and 11 excellent digs.

Leiah Malaluan was the only Lady Spiker to reach double figures in scoring with 10.

NU, which is coming off a four-set win over defending champion Ateneo on Saturday, looks to continue its winning ways against winless University of the East on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs tied University of the Philippines, which beat University of Santo Tomas earlier, on top of the standings.
