MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas got back on track and snapped Adamson’s three-game winning streak, 12-25, 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 15-9, to gain solo third in the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament on Tuesday at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Golden Tigresses got a huge boost from the error-plagued Lady Falcons, who committed three errors in a 5-0 spurt that put UST at match point, 14-8, in the fifth set. Lucille Almonte kept Adamson alive with a hit but Eya Laure made sure to seal the win with a kill.

The most important is the fifth because like I said before in our previous matches, it’s all about who has the biggest heart and building your mental toughness so every point counts,” said UST head coach Kungfu Reyes in Filipino.
“There’s no room for error. That was what we instructed the team and the rest, they worked hard for it on the court,” he added.
Laure dropped 23 points on 19 attacks and four blocks that went with eight excellent receptions to power the Golden Tigresses to a 4-2 record.
