SEA Games: Treat Huey, Ruben Gonzales enter tennis doubles semis

HANOI — Treat Huey and Ruben Gonzales made it to the men’s doubles semifinals after a 6-2, 6-2 win over Malaysia in the 31st Southeast Asian Games Thursday at Hanak Sports Center.
The 2019 silver winners bested Hao Shen Koay and Syed Mohamend Agli to advance against either the Thail or Indonesian pair.

Defending champions Jeson Patrombon and Francis Casey Alcantara were to face in the quarterfinals third seeds Christopher Rungkat and Rifki Fitriadi of Indonesia late Thursday.
Huey was set to return to the court to pair with Alex Eala in the mixed doubles semifinals against Thais Pruchya Isaro and Patcharin Cheapchandel.
