Tiu, Manalo set drag duel

MULTITITLED Jonathan Tiu  will gun for a sweep of the Quick 8 division but Martin Manalo will be out to stop him as the final round of 2012 Philippine Drag Racing Championships Southern Series gets going this Saturday at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

A win will seal Tiu’s 11th career crown and fortify his quest for a seventh national Drag Racing Driver of the Year plum.

Manalo ruled the M&H Pro class twice and another win would also boost his quest for the national crown.  Tiu leads the Quick 8 division with 45 points while Manalo has 16.

Manalo paces the M&H Pro class with 40 points with Tiu just five points. Steve Silva, Contributor
