MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas extended its winning streak to four after getting back at University of the Philippines, 25-20, 18-25, 26-24, 25-23, Saturday in the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena.

Eya Laure committed three straight attack errors right on match-point but nailed it just in time to secure the Tigresses’ seventh victory in nine outings.

The top UST hitter finished with 25 points to help the Tigresses deal the Lady Maroons their fifth loss in nine matches.

UST held five match points before it started to blow it one after another, threatening to turn the set exactly like the previous one.

In the third frame, the Lady Maroons were up, 24-21, before Laure fired a sharp-angled attack and then the UST frontliners swatted two straight blocks to extend the set.

A UP violation and another Laure hit won it for the Tigresses who rode that momentum from then on.
