Rock ‘n’ Roll organizers assure safety of everyone

Strict health and safety protocols will be put in place during the Asics Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series slated June 19 in Manila, as organizers want to ensure a trouble-free staging of the novel event.

A medical team has been put in place and runners in four different categories will have the option to wear face masks even as race spectators and those who will join the party afterwards will be required to observe physical distancing at all times.

Listup is still ongoing at www.runrocknroll.com.manila, with on-site registration at Garmin stores (through cash and Gcash mode of payment).

The 10K and 5K races get going at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m., respectively, while the 21K and 42K events will start at 5 p.m., both at Rizal Park as the race organized by The Ironman Group will take the runners through historical sites in Manila like the Walled City of Intramuros.

All entries will receive email confirmation with their respective QR codes, which they, including organizers, sponsors and staff, will present (printout or on mobile phone) on race day at the check-in gates/areas.

The unique race will have blaring music while it is ongoing as runners will also pass through the National Museum complex, the Manila Cathedral, Manila City Hall, the Kartilya ng Katipunan, the Jones Bridge and Chinatown in Binondo and back to Luneta.
