Big turnout seen as Asics listup ends
Registration for the Asics Rock ‘n’ Roll running series closes on Tuesday, with organizers expecting thousands to answer the starting guns of four events to be held on Sunday in and around the historical sights of the City of Manila.
A merry mix of runners from celebrities, corporate executives and those who run for fun are expected as The Ironman group winds up submission of entries at www.runrocknroll.com.manila and various on-site venues.
Trophies in the 42K, 21K, 10K and 5K divisions will be up for grabs, with the longer two races to be flagged off at 5 p.m. as the novel events treats runners to a route full of music and a party afterwards.
Strict health and safety protocols will be imposed to assure the safety of everyone with a health and fitness expo to be held from Wednesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mehan Garden.
The 10K race will fire off at 5 a.m., while the 5K race starts an hour after.
