Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes, Carlo Biado out of World Cup of Pool due to travel woes

MANILA, Philippines—Pool legend Efren “Bata” Reyes and reigning US Open champion Carlo Biado have pulled out of the World Cup of Pool in Brentwood, England.

According to organizers, Reyes and Biado “were forced to withdraw due to travel issues.”

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Noppon Saengkham of Thailand have replaced the Filipino duo in the event.

The Philippines was the inaugural winner of the nine-ball tournament back in 2006 led by Reyes and Django Bustamante.

Reyes and Bustamante won again in 2009.

The Philippines last won the tournament in 2013 while represented by Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza.
