PCC hosts 4-cock derby
An explosive gathering of three cockers’ groups happens at the Pasay City Cockpit today for the “Che and Taz Combine 4-Cock Derby.”
The first of more than 100 fights starts at 1 p.m. Seeing action are members of the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA), Pasay Cockpit Cockers Association (PCCA) and National Cockers Alliance (NCA).
PCC marketing manager Cheche Palileo and Taz Lunasco of LGBA are hosting the event.
Meanwhile, the PCC will celebrate its 26th anniversary event on July 13 and 16 with a 6-cock derby. Entry fee is P22,000. For inquiries, call 8431890, 8431746 and 8166750.
Thunderbird Dakak derby today
THE 2012 Thunderbird Dakak Challenge 4-Cock All-Star derby gets under way today at the Gallera de Dapitan in Dapitan City with 28 members of the Thunderbird Sabongnation seeing action.
Dubbed as the Otic Geroso Tribute, the event has lured, among others, Boracay Challenge champion Rafael “Nene” Abello, reigning World Slashers Cup champion Rey Briones, defending Slashers Cup winner Lawrence Wacnang, Boy Jiao, Bernie Tacoy, Philippine Federation of Gamefowl Breeders president Wilson Ong, Iloilo Mayor Jesry Palmares, and former WSC champ Dicky Lim and two-time SJC champ Boy Marzo.
