Gilas Youth routs Indonesia Fiba U16 Women’s Asian Championship Division B
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine youth team crushed Indonesia, 104-68, for a rousing debut in the 2022 Fiba Under-16 Women’s Asian Championship Division B on Friday at Prince Hamza Hall in Amman, Jordan.
Gabby Ramos introduced herself with 27 points and 20 rebounds to lead the 36-point rout.

Kristan Geyl Yumul unloaded 20 points, firing 6-of-11 from deep and igniting a blistering third quarter, while Naomi Panganiban added 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for Gilas.
The national youth team trailed 17-21 at the end of the opening period. The Indonesians kept the Filipinos within distance early in the third before Yumul sparked a 14-0 run for a 66-48 spread.

The women’s national youth team continues its Group A campaign on Saturday evening against Syria, which beat Samoa, 75-63, also on Friday.
Indonesia leaned on Angelica Jennifer Candra’s 16-point and 13-rebound performance. Erinindira Madafa and Vannisa Siregar added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
