La Salle kept its composure in the final period to survive a bruising duel with San Sebastian, 84-70, Wednesday night to survive and reach the semifinals of the Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup.
Rookie Jeron Teng dished out another solid effort, finishing with 17 points, an output matched by LA Revilla.
The victory sent the Archers to a semifinal duel with San Beda, which remained unbeaten in nine games in the tournament after overpowering St. Benilde, 80-41, in the quarterfinals.
National U and Ateneo will dispute the other finals berth on Saturday. The Bulldogs trounced the UST Tigers, 77-68, while the Eagles overcame the FEU Tamaraws, 74-63.
The Stags’ Calvin Abueva was ejected early in the fourth quarter for a second technical foul after hitting Teng. Michael Juico was also called for an unsportsmanlike foul after pushing Revilla.
