Firefly Group perfect in NCA triumph
THE FIREFLY Group bested all 25 entries to emerge solo champion in the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) Big Event last weekend.
The “Firefly” entry of Rey Allas, Ernie Austria and Hessie Mallillin scored 6 points, besting “JGT” of Mayor Ellan Nagaño and Jorge Torres, which would up with 5 points.
“JU AA Against All Odds” of James Uy and Gerry Ramos copped third (4½ points). Tied for fourth place with 4 points each were “Jimafer BG” of Engr. Efren Canlas, “Binangonan Renegade” of Ito Ynares, “Tiffany, Haring Oros 2012” of Joel Teves, “Phoenix Gem” of Mario Villamor, “Goldquest Champions” of Osang dela Cruz and “RM Lucky Chance” of Rene Medina and Arnold Mendoza.
Up next is the NCA Stag Derby Circuit on Sept. 11. The opening derby will be hosted by Ynares, Medina, Boy Valenzuela and Ernie Austria, Ray Allas and Hessie Mallillin.
The succeeding derby on Sept. 18 will be hosted by Manny and Arman Santos, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olaño, T. Sevilla, and Ruel Ricafort, followed by the Sept. 25 event spearheaded by Nagaño, Tommy Chua, Dela Cruz, Boyet Joson and Jorge Torres. Another derby is slated Oct. 2. All NCA derbies are sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
