/ 05:10 AM July 09, 2022

With the course already in perfect shape, close to 600 triathletes gather in Bohol for the Sunlife 5150, the province’s first hosting of the event since the pandemic.

A top triathlon hub in the past, Bohol has laid out the red carpet for everyone taking part in the Olympic-style 1.5 kilometer-swim, 40 km-bike and 10 km-run on Sunday even as the organizers will be flagging off the Sunrise Sprint division which has attracted a score of beginners.

“It’s been a long time since the last 5150 and even longer since the last race we had in Bohol. We have prepared an excellent and safe race with a very fast exciting course for everyone to enjoy,” said race director Neville Manaois.

The event also serves as a tuneup for many with the Ironman 70.3 event set in Mactan, Cebu, early next month.
