College of St. Benilde (CSB) completed a perfect NCAA women’s volleyball season after easily dismantling Arellano, 26-24, 25-12, 25-9, at the Filoil Flying V Centre on Friday.

The Lady Blazers went undefeated in 11 matches—losing one set the entire season—to capture their second league championship.

Gayle Pascual finished with 14 points, including three blocks and one service ace, to run away with Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors. She tallied 17 points in CSB’s Game 1 victory.

“Now we can say that the season is over,” said Pascual, who, prior to Game 2, said the team will treat the potential title-clinching match as the first game of the season.

Jade Gentapa contributed 11 points and 10 digs while Cristy Ondangan also had three blocks for a 10-point outing for the Lady Blazers.

Season MVP Mycah Go had eight points, including the championship-clinching service ace, to go with 15 digs and four receptions. Michelle Gamit added seven points, including three blocks for CSB.

The loss ended the Lady Chiefs’ reign that started in 2017—where the Legarda-based squad won three titles during that run.
