CO-LEADERS Dumaguete and Cebu try to sustain their winning streaks and secure twice-to-beat incentives when action resumes today in the Baseball Philippines Series 9 at the Clark Field in Pampanga.
After winning their respective double-header schedule last Sunday, the Unibikers and the Dolphins, both with 9-3 slates, can gain outright semifinal berths in the semis with just a win in their two matches today.
The two will first collide at 9 a.m. with the winner automatically clinching a semifinal slot. The loser still has a chance to advance with a win in the afternoon schedule where the Unibikers will take on against the Batangas Bulls (3-9) and the Dolphins against the Taguig Patriots (3-9).
Taguig and Manila mix it up while Alabang and Batangas collide in the other morning matches.
The Unibikers slammed the two-time defending champions Manila Sharks, 6-0, in the morning last Sunday before drubbing the Patriots, 12-5.
