A total of 63 two-man squads make up the final field seeing action in the P500,000 first Sambalilo Pro-Am teeing off Aug. 5 at the Caliraya Lakes layout, with the Michael Bibat-Edwin de Ocampo tandem looming as one of the teams to beat.
Bibat will be coming in just three weeks removed from winning his second Philippine Golf Tour title at Eagle Ridge over Antonio Lascuña, even as Zannie Boy Gialon, who won the pro event held at Caliraya earlier in the year, is also entered in the 36-hole event.
The scramble format will be used in the first round before play shifts to four-ball for the final day.
Lascuña will have Kevin Su as partner even as another notable pair in the Rupert Zaragosa-Kristoffer Arevalo team bears watching.
Gialon will be teaming up with national team stalwart Gab Manotoc, while former PH Masters winner Jessie Balasabas will have Pherham Saiddi as partner.
