MANILA, Philippines– National University snapped Adamson’s three-game winning streak, 63-57, in Group A of the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup at San Juan Arena on Friday.

The Bulldogs handed the Falcons their first loss after a 3-0 start, which leaves the Bulldogs (3-0) and the University of the Philippines (4-0) as the only teams in Group A with an undefeated record.

The Soaring Falcons were up, 53-51, in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter when National University rookie L.A. Casinillo launched a triple to put the Bulldogs ahead, 54-53.

Casinillo’s three-point bucket ignited a 10-0 run to let the Bulldogs take full control of the game and pull the rug from under the Falcons.

Casinillo had 10 points for NU, while John Lloyd Clemente and Steve Nash Enriquez scored 11 and 10, respectively.

Adamson hotshot Jerom Lastimosa continued his string of stellar scoring with 23 points.

Despite the loss, the Falcons’ bench outscored Bulldogs, 43-24.
