Two Filipino players named All-Stars at Basketball Without Borders Asia camp

MANILA, Philippines—Filipinos players Jared Bahay and Quinn Kacey Dela Rosa were named All-Stars in the recently-concluded Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia Camp 2022 in Canberra, Australia.

Other Filipinos who attended the camp, which is a joint global project of the NBA and Fiba, were Caelum Harris, Camille Nolasco and LA John Andres.

Roman Siulepa and Lulu Laditan of Australia took home the boys’ and girls’ camp MVP plums.

During the final day, players participated in a Q&A session with NBA players Josh Green, Jarrett Allen, Cam Johnson and Coby White.

Former WNBA player and 4-time Olympic medalist Kristi Harrower also took part in answering questions and sharing their experiences.

Gwanwoo Lee of South Korea and Amy Kurkowski from the host country took home the boys’ and girls’ 3-point shootout crown.

Joshua Dent of Australia and  Chianti Yokohama of Japan took home Defensive MVP honors while the Patrick Baumann Sportsmanship Award was notched by Tajon Akira Jacobs (Japan) and Maia Riley Jones (New Zealand).
