PBA D-League: St. Clare, San Sebastian force semis deciders

MANILA, Philippines—The PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup semifinals will see two do-or-die games on Wednesday after Adalem-St. Clare and Apex Fuel-San Sebastian forced deciders at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

The Saints trounced EcoOil-La Salle, 72-64, while the Stags overcame Marinerong Pilipino, 82-74.

Johnsherick Estrada played hero once more for St. Clare, giving the UAAP semifinalists fits with 22 points.

Joshua Fontanilla helped the Saints with 21 points while Senegalese big man Babacar Ndong made his presence felt with 15 rebounds.

Romel Calahat, Jesse Sumoda and Ichie Altamirano, meanwhile, combined for 42 points to power the Stags, who will dispute the first finals berth with the Skippers at 9 a.m.

The knockout duel between the Green Archers and the Saints follows at 11 a.m. still at Araneta Coliseum.
