PVL MVP Tots Carlos shares glory to Creamline teammates, coaches
MANILA, Philippines — Tots Carlos continues her rise to stardom after becoming a two-time Premier Volleyball League MVP and delivering Creamline’s second straight title in the 2022 season.
The University of the Philippines standout credited her achievements to the Cool Smashers for bringing out the best in her since signing with the team in 2021.

This team was a huge factor in my growth,” said Carlos after being crowned as Invitational Conference MVP moments after their championship-clinching 25-21, 25-19, 25-8 victory over KingWhale on Sunday night at Mall of Asia Arena.
“Our team is like a family. Whatever happens, my teammates will not leave me behind,” she added.
But for the 24-year-old opposite hitter, winning two MVPs in back-to-back conferences—a win shy of matching her teammate Alyssa Valdez for the most number of MVPs— is a huge responsibility and a reminder to repay the trust of her coaches and teammates.

They all helped me to achieve this,” Carlos said. “Like what I always say, I won’t grow and be mature enough to play in this kind of competition without the trust of my coaches and teammates.”
Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses said Carlos’ perseverance took her to greater heights.
“Even if she is asked to spike 100 balls, she won’t complain. She really deserves to be the MVP,” Meneses said in Filipino. “The best is yet to come. She is still young and she can win more trophies.”
After a stellar showing in the first two PVL tournaments, Carlos is set to face a new challenge as she and the Cool Smashers represent the country in the AVC Cup next week before starting their quest for a grand slam in the Reinforced Conference in October.
