MANILA, Philippines—Three months after the conclusion of NCAA Season 97, the league will start its 98th season in less than a month.

The NCAA announced on its Facebook page that Season 98 will begin on September 10.

Emilio Aguinaldo College will play host for Season 98. GMA remains its broadcast partner.

“With the coming Season 98, most of the games, if not all, are already face-to-face, physical so we’re already excited for that,” GMA Network First Vice President and Head of Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Victor Amoroso said in a 24 Oras Report.

Letran Knights will defend the NCAA’s basketball crown while the College of St. Benilde will look to remain dominant in the women’s volleyball division.

The NCAA will still implement COVID-19 health protocols despite more face-to-face activities.

The league will have a semi-bubble setup. Student-athletes can stay in their team dormitories while being regularly tested for antigen.
