Looking forward to century milestone, NCAA to honor its athletes in Season 100
MANILA, Philippines—The NCAA’s best will be feted when the oldest collegiate league in the country hits its century mark two years from now.
NCAA managing committee member Peter Cayco of Arellano University said the league will honor its notable athletes for their achievements and contributions not only to the NCAA but to Philippine sports as a whole.
“We will be coming up with awards for athletes who contributed for the NCAA and also the country,” Cayco said during the PSA Forum on Tuesday.
Cayco also said that Season 100 will be co-hosted by all the teams.
The upcoming Season 98 will be hosted by Emilio Aguinaldo College while Season 99 host is yet to be determined.
NCAA Season 98 tips off on Saturday at Araneta Coliseum with the opening ceremony set at 11 a.m. followed by a men’s basketball doubleheader headlined by the showdown between last season’s semifinalists San Beda and Mapua.
