MANILA, Philippines — Led by former 3×3 national team player Marvin Hayes, J&T Express is embracing the challenge as it joins the PBA 3×3 second season, which opens on Saturday.

The logistics company on Tuesday unveiled its squad, bannered by Hayes, University of Santo Tomas standout Jeric Teng, Joseph Sedurifa, Robin Rono, and Keith Datu at Upper Deck Sports Center.

Ryan Monteclaro, the team’s playing-head coach, seeks to prove that their new team could compete well against the top 3×3 squads in the league.

“We’re excited to represent J&T Express in the PBA 3×3 and we believe that we have put up a competitive team which can challenge the best squads out there. We know it’s going to be a challenge, but we’re ready and we’re embracing it,” Monteclaro said.

J&T Express, a longtime sponsor of the PBA, joins Ginebra, Purefoods, San Miguel, Cavitex, Meralco, TNT, Blackwater, NorthPort, Pioneer Elasto Seal, Platinum Karaoke, and Terrafirma in the 12-team field.

J&T’s players are no longer strangers in the 3×3 competition as Hayes represented the country and won numerous championships with Limitless Appmasters and Purefoods TJ Titans.

Sedurifa previously played for Meralco Bolts 3×3, Teng saw action with Master Sardines Fishing Champs, and Rono was previously part of Pioneer Pro Tibay. Datu is Filipino-American big man out of Chico State in California.
