Letran survives testy duel vs Mapua
Letran pulled off a great escape, but didn’t leave the court unscathed with a couple of ejections on key players who could face sanctions for the defending champion’s next game.
Fran Yu’s three with the shot clock winding down propelled the Knights to a scrappy 67-62 win over the Mapua Cardinals on Tuesday at the NCAA Season 98 men’s basketball tournament.

But Letran took losses on the personnel front.
Brent Paraiso, the team’s chief shot creator, was sacked with five minutes left for elbowing Mapua’s Adrian Nocum at the back of the head.
