NBA: Raptors guard Malachi Flynn fractures cheekbone
Toronto Raptors guard Malachi Flynn is recovering from a broken left cheekbone.
He sustained the injury during the third quarter of Sunday’s preseason game against the Utah Jazz in Edmonton, Alberta.

He will wear a protective face shield and is expected to be ready for the Oct. 19 season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Flynn has averaged 6.0 points, 2.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 91 games (19 starts) since the Raptors drafted him in the first round (29th overall) in 2020.
