MANILA. Philippines–The Adamson Falcons are constantly finding their bearings.

For the second consecutive outing, the Falcons seemed to be doing something right after bringing down the Far Eastern University Tamaraws in a methodical 76-65 win on Wednesday evening at the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball tournament.

Vince Magbuhos erupted for a career-high 23 points, including a back-breaking three that erased any hope of an FEU comeback and provided the Falcons the much-needed relief.

“I won’t be able to pull this off without the trust of the coaches. But this win was a collective team effort. Everybody should contribute,’’ said Magbuhos after the Falcons pulled to an even 2-2 record.

Patrick Sleat scored 18 points and Xyrus Torres contributed 14 for the winless Tamaraws, who ferociously chased the Falcons throughout only to suffer their fourth straight defeat.

“Every game matters in this tournament. You’ll see a lot of surprises because the teams are a little bit more balanced. From our end, we just focus on our next game and not think too far ahead,’’ said Adamson coach Nash Racela. “Tonight, we just took care of business.’’
