Creamline has no qualms admitting that it is targeting the Premier Volleyball League’s version of a Triple Crown, with the Cool Smashers’ quest for the third jewel getting off the ground on Thursday when they clash with formidable PLDT in their Reinforced Conference debut.

“Honestly, at the back of our heads, that is the goal while in training,” team leader Alyssa Valdez said on the eve of their 2:30 p.m. clash at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City. “Sure, expectations are high.”

The towering Elena Samoilenko will spearhead a High Speed Hitters crew that is also teeming with local talent, and Creamline can expect every team in the field will be shooting for its head every time considering what’s at stake for the Cool Smashers here and how everyone would want to avoid being a footnote of history.

Meanwhile, F2 and Choco Mucho try to get their respective bids on track when they clash in the other game at 5:30 where the charismatic Lindsay Stalzer makes her first appearance after being forced to sit out a 25-23, 25-21, 25-22 loss to Chery Tiggo a couple of days ago because of health and safety protocols.
