MANILA, Philippines — Import Lindsay Stalzer didn’t hide her disappointment–not even to her teammates–after F2 Logistics suffered its second straight loss in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Thursday at Philsports Arena.

The American import’s 26-point PVL debut was spoiled as the Cargo Movers suffered a 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 24-26 loss to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to remain winless after two matches.

“I let the team know how upset I am and heartbroken I am about that. Because it’s serious we can’t just take these losses lightly. We definitely had every opportunity to win that game and we let it slip through our fingers,” said Stalzer, who had 25 kills.

F2 Logistics was on the cusp of forcing a fifth set after reaching the set point of the fourth with a 24-22 advantage. But the Cargo Movers blew the lead after Choco Mucho’s substitute spiker Isa Molde sparked a 4-0 run, which included a crucial net touch from Iris Tolenada, to complete the win.

“I let everyone know how that can’t happen and we all need to be accountable for that loss and we need to make an effort to improve in the coming weeks because it’s urgent. We need to get those wins,” said Stalzer, who has been playing as an import in the Philippines since 2014.

The 38-year-old spiker said that the Cargo Movers need more time to get their acts together as she just got cleared from the league’s health and safety protocols a day before this match. They are also still missing their liberos Dawn Macandili and CJ Saga-Woo, while Tin Tiamzon and Shola Alvarez also entered isolation.

“It’s a concern that we have two losses already but you know, tonight was really the first night we had almost our full team together actually. My first night with the team so give us a little leeway,” said Stalzer.

Despite absorbing their second straight loss, Stalzer said there is no reason to panic as they have more games left and will continue to hunt for their first win against United Auctioneers-Army on Tuesday.

“We had some good points. We really had some good plays and we’re showing some impressive talents so I’m not too worried but I know we just need to step it up.”
