MANILA, Philippines—SJ Belangel had a solid first game in the Korean Basketball League on Sunday.

Belangel’s performance, however, went down the drain as his team Daegu KOGAS Pegasus fell to the Jeonju KCC Egis, 81-72, on Sunday at Daegu Gymnasium.

The former Ateneo standout finished with 10 points, highlighted by two triples, two rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes as a starter.

Belangel was also the only player on his team to hit from the 3-point area as the rest of the squad went 0-of-16 from that distance.

Ra Gun-ah, the former import for the Star Hotshots who was formerly known as Ricardo Ratcliffe before his South Korean naturalization, led the KCC Egis with 18 points, 12 rebounds and four assists with three steals and two blocks to boot.

Meanwhile, other Filipino imports in Justin Gutang and Rhenz Abando didn’t see action for their respective teams.

Gutang’s Changwon LG Sakers lost to the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 65-62, while Anyang KGC won its second consecutive win despite Abando’s absence due to an injury, beating Daegu Goyang Orions, 73-62.
