MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas big man Adama Faye and La Salle guard CJ Austria will be serving a one-game suspension in their respective games on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena.

The league announced the suspension of the two players, who committed unsportsmanlike fouls in their previous games.

Austria won’t be able to play for La Salle, which holds a 3-2 record, against league leader National University (4-1) at 11 a.m., while Faye will miss UST’s (1-4) match against the winless Far Eastern University (0-5) at 6:30 p.m.

Austria hit FEU’s Patrick Sleat with a clothesline and was called for an unsportsmanlike foul when La Salle led by 56-31 with 5:59 left in the third quarter last Saturday.

Faye threw an elbow on University of the East’s Harvey Pagsanjan and was slapped with a disqualifying foul late in the third quarter of their game on Sunday.

League commissioner Dickie Bachmann will also summon Faye and Austria to his office on Wednesday.
