MANILA, Philippines–The PBA postponed Saturday’s Commissioner’s Cup doubleheader at Ynares Center in Antipolo City due to Tropical Storm Paeng.
The league made the announcement on the morning of the scheduled twinbill after Rizal province and Metro Manila were placed under signal No. 3.
“The PBA is calling off its games today as severe weather, road and traffic conditions may be unsafe and undesirable for our fans and players due to the effects of severe tropical storm Paeng,” the PBA said in a bulletin posted on its social media platforms.
San Miguel Beer and Meralco were supposed to kick things off at 4:30 p.m. followed by the nightcap pitting Magnolia against Rain or Shine.

Meanwhile, the holding of Sunday’s matches also at Ynares will depend if weather conditions improve.
Slated are Converge-Blackwater at 4:30 p.m. and TNT-Phoenix at 6:45 p.m.
