Pastor first Pinoy to join Nascar race
Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor is set to become the first Filipino to race this year’s Euro Nascar Series.
Pastor left for Amsterdam Wednesday to catch the qualifying practice session in the 4-km Zandourt International Circuit race track.
He will join the main race this weekend.
Pastor nailed the breakthrough Euro Nascar Series ticket after he was chosen from a roster of international Asian racecar champions around the world.
Enzo is joining the race in tandem with other Macau GP World Touring driver, Joe Merzci.
They will be joined in Amsterdam by Philippine Formula Autosports Foundation (PFAFI) president Tom Pastor.
The PFAFI had been continuously creating support races for the budding Filipino racers and outreach race events, here and abroad, with the aim of putting the country back in the motorsports map.
