Cignal and Choco Mucho exhaust their last shot at a semifinal slot in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday when they collide at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City where both teams hope to have their respective imports back in full health for a no-tomorrow match.

With a 4-3 record, Cignal has the inside track with a win in the 2:30 p.m. contest shoving the HD Spikers into the Final Four as import Tai Bierria hopes to be in full strength, even as Odina Aliyeva hopes to clear all health and safety protocols to be back in action again.

As things stand, Creamline, Chery Tiggo and Petro Gazz have already clinched seats and Choco Mucho, being at 3-4, has a chance if the Flying Titans beat the HD Spikers in four sets or less.

FEATURED STORIES

The 5:30 p.m. clash between F2 and Petro Gazz has been rendered no-bearing since the Cargo Movers, at 3-4, will lose in the tiebreak even if they end up tied with Cignal and Choco Mucho in the event of a win by the Flying Titans.

Choco Mucho will be coming off a loss to the Cool Smashers in a record-setting game at Mall of Asia Arena last Thursday that drew a crowd of 19,157 which Aliyeva sat out.

Rachel Anne Daquis will lead the HD Spikers as always, with Des Cheng and Kat Tolentino to banner the local charge of the Flying Titans.

The semifinals will be a round robin affair as all teams will start from scratch. INQ
