MANILA, Philippines—Rhenz Abando extended his string of stellar games as Anyang KGC squeaked past Jeonju KCC Egis, 84-82, in the Korean Basketball League at Jeonju Gymnasium on Wednesday.
The former NCAA MVP tallied 15 points, sinking two baskets from beyond the arc. He also had a rebound, an assist and a steal to keep Anyang’s three-game winning streak alive.
Jeonju, on the other hand, turned to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson as he finished with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds on a losing effort.
Justin Gutang went scoreless but his team got the last laugh over Ethan Alvano’s Wonju DB Promy, 81-77, at Wonju Gymnasium.
Despite registering zero points in the stat sheet, Gutang notched an assist and a steal in five minutes of play.
Lee Jae-do was Changwon’s hero with 28 markers, five boards and five assists.
Alvano had a much better game than his Filipino counterpart with 15 markers, seven boards, five dimes and two steals on the defensive end.
