MANILA, Philippines — The #SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines this year concluded on October 30, announcing its winner, including rookie racer Brian Poe-Llamanzares, who earned 3rd place in the overall race.

Brian has competed against the country’s fastest racers at Clark International Speedway from August 26-28 under the banner of Luxury lifestyle apparel and sporting company Porsche Design. The second race was held on September 23-25 at Batangas Racing Circuit, while the final rounds were on October 21-30 at the former venue.

In spite of the difficult conditions brought on by Tropical Storm Paeng, competitors in the Radical SR1 Cup were able to continue driving and complete the race. The fierce battles took place in the rain and the record for the quickest personal time was 2 minutes and 4 seconds.

Brian, one of the country’s emerging racers, was also awarded “Rookie of the Year” and finished third with great pride, as this is Porsche Design’s first racing team in Asia.

Meanwhile, Anton Inigo of Motul and Parts Pro won the overall championship.

As part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Porsche Design Manila, CEO Hans Yao announced in July that he is teaming up with Brian to compete at the Radical Cars SR1 Cup’s annual event.

In an interview, Yao congratulated Brian and pledged his continued support for his future races.

“On behalf of the entire Porsche Design team, we would like to congratulate Brian Poe-Llamanzares for a very, very successful race,” Yao said.

“There were a lot of close calls there, but we had fun; I think that’s the most important. We look forward to your future races. Your Porsche design is here to support you all the way,” he added.
