The Boosters, spearheaded by a rejuvenated Jay Washington, uncorked 10 three-pointers which basically kept the Llamados at bay all game long.

Washington, who was sidelined for most of the season, sizzled with 29 points — 11-of-17 from the field — with nine rebounds and three steals as he once again tied his career-high output.

Import Edward Basden chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds along with four assists and three steals, but it was mostly Washington who pounded on B-Meg in the offense.

Washington poured five straight points followed by a split from the line from starting guard Alex Cabagnot and built a 90-76 spread for Petron, its biggest lead of the night, with two minutes to go.

Thought it wasn’t a rout — Petron, which upped its record to 4-3, had B-Meg on a leash since late in the second quarter and managed to keep a safe distance.

Four straight triples courtesy of Washington, Basden and Cabagnot kickstarted the run which first gave the Boosters the lead, 45-36.

B-Meg, which absorbed its second setback, hardly stood a chance against the hotshooting Petron as it shot an atrocius 1-of-13 from beyond the arch.

Reinforcement Marcus Blakely paced the the Llamados, who have never defeated the Boosters this season, with 28 points and nine rebounds and four steals.
