MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos and the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus enjoyed a festive night as they defeated the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 76-70, on Christmas Sunday in the Korean Basketball League at Dongchun Gymnasium.
Abarrientos helped Ulsan get into a jolly mood with 12 points, three rebounds and one steal for the win.
Gauge Prim also chipped in 14 points and three rebounds while Lee Woo-Seok registered a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards to power the Mobis Phoebus to a 15-9 record. Ulsan climbed to second place just a game behind league leader Anyang KGC (16-8).
SJ Belangel, however, struggled with only three points and two assists in the loss that dropped Daegu’s record to 10-15.
Ethan Alvano and Wonju DB Promy also suffered the same fate as Belangel on Christmas as they succumbed to Suwon KT SonicBoom, 77-64, at Suwon KT Arena.
Alvano still had a solid outing with 14 points and four assists but Wonju tripped to a 10-15 card.
Former PBA import Lester Prosper powered Suwon with 17 points.
