Perpetual Help continues strong play in NCAA beach volleyball
MANILA, Philippines—Perpetual Help continued to wax hot in the NCAA Season 98 beach volleyball tournament in Subic, Zambales on Wednesday.
The Altas swept College of St. Benilde, 21-15, 21-13, following up a strong start to the competition where they ended the opening day with a 3-0 record.

Emilio Aguinaldo College went on to sweep San Sebastian, 21-19, 21-18, to also stay unbeaten after four games.
San Beda, on the other hand, trounced Lyceum, 21-17, 21-19 to keep a hold of No. 3 in the elimination round with a 3-2 slate.

Perpertual started the day hot with a sweep of Lyceum, 21-8, 21-15 even as the Red Lions came from behind to notch a win against JRU, 10-21, 21-15, 15-13.
Arellano also stumped Baste, 21-13, 21-17 while defending champions Generals, swept Benilde, 21-18, 21-12.
The Cardinals opened men’s game day with a tightly contested three-set win over the Pirates, 18-21, 22-20, 15-11.
In women’s play, Mary Rhose Dapol and Janine Padua of the Lady Altas also rolled in Day 2 with a sweep of Arellano, 21-9, 21-18 to go unbeaten at 5-0.
The Lady Knights, who are at second with a 4-1 record, buried the Lady Chiefs, 21-4, 21-13 while defending champion San Beda hung on and trumped JRU, 21-12, 21-19, to trail St. Benilde at No. 5.
