Pacquiao defends Arum fiercely
Election lawyer Romulo Macalintal, who was in Las Vegas last June 9 to watch the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, sent an e-mail yesterday, informing us that he has filed a letter-complaint addressed to Catherine Cortez Masto, Office of the Attorney General, State of Nevada.
Macalintal, who is still in Norwalk City, California, as you read this, said that he still has to inform Manny of this letter “but he will find out in due time.”
We are publishing the letter minus the lengthy attachments offered as evidence, for example the compilation of scores made by the boxing press, fans forum and boxing sites showing an overwhelming win for Pacquiao with 46 as against Bradley’s vote of only one.

Dear Attorney General Masto:
This is to formalize my complaint and/or request for inquiry or investigation surrounding the highly questionable scorings and decision in the recently concluded World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight championship fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley held on June 9, 2012 at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas City.
I am instituting this complaint as a boxing fan or enthusiast whose right to a fair and credible verdict in any sporting event, like the millions of boxing fans and enthusiasts, is entitled to the protection by the state where the said event is held.
This complaint or request for inquiry may also be treated as a class suit on behalf of those boxing fans who also deserved to be heard of their complaint and grievances and whose number is so huge that it is impracticable to include them in this letter-complaint.
Further, it is respectfully requested that all legal formalities in the filing of this complaint be suspended or waived in the highest interest of justice in view of the worldwide attention generated by the issue raised in this complaint and the outpouring of similar sentiments and grievances by boxing aficionados who spent their money, time and effort in watching the said event live or by pay per view programming.—(Signed Romulo B. People seem to be forgetting about Pacquiao’s bitter loss to Bradley, but one collective thought is slowly but surely emerging.
Everybody seems to be pointing an accusing finger at Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum, although Manny was the very first to stand in support of his longtime promoter.
In an interview on national television, Manny fiercely defended Arum saying he couldn’t have anything to do with the judges’ decision.
“Arum has nothing to do with the decision. Galit na galit nga siya sa nangyari,” Manny said.
