NBA: Lakers’ LeBron James, Anthony Davis out against Nets

Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will miss Monday night’s game against the Nets in Brooklyn.

The Lakers said Sunday that James will be sidelined by left ankle soreness and Davis by a right foot stress injury.

Austin Reaves also is out with a left hamstring strain. Lonnie Walker IV is probable with left knee tendinitis.

Davis missed 20 games with the foot injury before returning Wednesday to play in the Lakers’ 113-104 win against the San Antonio Spurs. He scored 16 points in 34 minutes in a 125-121 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

James has been fighting a troublesome left ankle much of the season. On Saturday, he scored 41 points in 44 minutes.

On the season, Davis, 29, has been limited to 27 games (25 starts) and is averaging 26.7 points and 12.0 rebounds.

James, 38, has averages of 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 40 games.
