MANILA, Philippines—Bryan Bagunas has signed with Imus-ITP in the 2023 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.
The AJAA Spikers on Friday announced the acquisition of the national team star, who is expected to be back in the country next month.
“We are excited to have one of the best players in the country to play for our team,” said AJAA Spikers team manager Atty. Timothy Ngo.
“When we told the players and the coaches about it, they were all excited as well — especially the players because some of them have never played with Bryan. They can’t wait to learn from him,” he added.
Bagunas is currently playing in Taiwan for the Win Streak Club in the Top Volleyball League.
The former UAAP MVP is raring to play again in the Spikers’ Turf where he last played in 2019 as part of Air Force.
“I’m so happy and I can’t wait to come back home. The feeling is different playing in the Spikers’ Turf,” said the 25-year-old Bagunas.
Bagunas will arrive in Manila either in the second or third week of March.
The Open Conference elimination round will end on March 19, while the semifinals will begin on March 22.
Bagunas will reunite with his national teammates Kim Malabunga and Ish Polvorosa as he joins Imus.
