MANILA, Philippines—Rhenz Abando remained sidelined but league-leading Anyang kept winning in the Korean Basketball League on Saturday.

Former NBA player Omari Spellman flirted with a double-double in the KGC win with 20 points and eight rebounds, helping Anyang stretch its winning run to four games and improve to 27-11.

Seoul, which recently ended its contract with Filipino forward Justine Baltazar, remained at the bottom of the standings at 11-27.

RJ Abarrientos had a quiet night in Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus’ 84-82 loss against the Goyang Carrot Jumpers in the Korean Basketball League at Ulsan Dongcheon Gymnasium on Saturday.

In 23 minutes of play, Abarrientos finished with just five points, three assists and two rebounds while sinking only two of his eight attempts from the field. Ulsan dropped to a 22-15 record in the loss.

Dedric Lawson’s 30-point outburst powered the Carrot Jumpers to victory, improving their record to 20-18.

Over at Daegu Gymnasium, the Suwon KT Sonicboom squeaked past Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 76-73.

Dave Ildefonso was scoreless for Suwon but Yang Hoo-Seok’s 22 points were enough to spearhead the Sonicboom to a 17-21 card.

SJ Belangel was also hardly a factor for Daegu, playing for only 13 minutes off the bench and finishing with two points, one rebound and an assist. The Pegasus dropped to 13-24.
