MANILA, Philippines — Kianna Dy knows that F2 Logistics still has a lot of work to do despite a strong start to the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

Dy delivered 17 points, including the clutch attacks in the third set, as the Cargo Movers took down Akari, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18, to force a three-way tie on top of the league standings on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

The star opposite spiker relished the opportunity to finally beat the Chargers, who shattered their semifinal hopes in the Reinforced Conference as import Prisilla Rivera dropped 32 points to win in straight sets.

“It’s a good feeling because they beat us last conference,” said Dy after taking down an Akari side, which is now led by Dindin Santiago-Manabat. “Hopefully, we bring this on our next games and keep on improving.”

The former La Salle star said they still need to learn to start strong and also finish strong.

“We started slow. So I think that’s something we have to work on. We cannot afford to have a jittery start. So we’re gonna work on it today,” Dy said in Filipino.

F2 Logistics tied its best PVL start from last year’s Open Conference with an improved 2-0 record tying Creamline and Chery Tiggo on top of the standings.

But during that year, the Cargo Movers lost three straight games, including a knockout loss to Petro Gazz in the quarterfinals.

Dy said they cannot be complacent amid their good start as F2 Logistics is trying to rise this season after missing the semifinals last year, including the Reinforced Conference.

“It’s good that we started on a good note but there are a lot of improvements for us so we just take every game one step at a time and hopefully we reach until the end,” said Dy.

F2 Logistics eyes its third straight win against fellow unbeaten team, Chery Tiggo, on Thursday at FilOil Flying V Centre.
