MANILA, Philippines—June Mar Fajardo was shackled to just seven points in San Miguel’s stunning 107-103 loss to Converge on Saturday night.

And while his alarmingly low production was mostly due to the FiberXer’s stingy defense, it was also partly because he had to exit the tight duel at Mall of Asia Arena early.

Fajardo, the six-time Most Valuable Player, got his sixth foul after colliding with young FiberXers big man Barkley Eboña with 2:57 left in the fourth quarter.

Fajardo had seven points, 10 rebounds and three assists when he left the game—his first in four years, according to the league’s stats honcho Fidel Mangonon III.

The last time the soft-spoken giant from Cebu burned all of his six fouls was on April 30, 2019, during Game 1 of the Philippine Cup semifinals.

San Miguel won that game against Phoenix, 100-88, with Fajardo turning in nine points and nine rebounds.
