NBA: Steph Curry leads jersey sales in Philippines

MANILA, Philippines—For the past several years, Steph Curry has been one of the most popular athletes in the world.
That’s why it’s no surprise that Curry is also number one among Filipino basketball fans based on jersey sales from NBA Store Philippines’ official online store through the first half of the 2022-23 regular season.
And thanks to Curry’s ever-growing popularity, reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors have also topped all teams in the merchandise ranking list for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, who just broke the NBA’s all-time scoring record, is second in jersey sales while Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks places third.

Jayson Tatum of the league-leading Boston Celtics and Kevin Durant, who was recently traded by the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns, round out the top five.
Completing the top 10 are Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Devin Booker of the Suns.
The Lakers, meanwhile, are second in team merchandise while the Mavericks, Nets and Bucks follow.
Curry also topped the jersey sales through the first half of last season.
