KBL: RJ Abarrientos powers Ulsan past Dave Ildefonso’s Suwon
MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos powered the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus past Suwon KT Sonicboom, 69-59, in the Korean Basketball League on Saturday.
Abarrientos, as a starter, helped Ulsan gain the upper-hand with 14 markers, 5 boards and three dimes. He, however, had a cold-shooting night with just a 31.6 field goal shooting clip, making just six of his 19 tries.

Dave Ildefonso had a significant increase in playing time, being used for 22 minutes in Saturday’s loss. He registered eight points, five rebounds, five steals and two dimes for Sonicboom (18-25).
The Daegu KOGAS Pegasus defeated fellow cellar-dweller team Seoul Samsung Thunders, 89-66, at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium.
Despite the victory, SJ Belangel finished the game scoreless in over 22 minutes of play. He had four assists and a rebound.
Lee Dae-Sung fueled the KOGAS Pegasus to a 14-28 record with 22 points.
Ethan Alvano and the Wonju DB Promy, however, were unsuccessful in their clash with the Seoul SK Knights, 92-73, at Wonju General Gymnasium.
Alvano started for the DB Promy and tallied 14 markers, seven assists and two rebounds and two steals to give Wonju its 16th win in 41 outings.
