KBL: RJ Abarrientos powers Ulsan past Dave Ildefonso’s Suwon
MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos powered the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus past Suwon KT Sonicboom, 69-59, in the Korean Basketball League on Saturday.
Abarrientos, as a starter, helped Ulsan gain the upper-hand with 14 markers, 5 boards and three dimes. He, however, had a cold-shooting night with just a 31.6 field goal shooting clip, making just six of his 19 tries.

Dave Ildefonso had a significant increase in playing time, being used for 22 minutes in Saturday’s loss. He registered eight points, five rebounds, five steals and two dimes for Sonicboom (18-25).
The Daegu KOGAS Pegasus defeated fellow cellar-dweller team Seoul Samsung Thunders, 89-66, at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium.

Lee Dae-Sung fueled the KOGAS Pegasus to a 14-28 record with 22 points.
Ethan Alvano and the Wonju DB Promy, however, were unsuccessful in their clash with the Seoul SK Knights, 92-73, at Wonju General Gymnasium.
Alvano started for the DB Promy and tallied 14 markers, seven assists and two rebounds and two steals to give Wonju its 16th win in 41 outings.
Kim Hyun-Ho complemented Alvano’s outing as he finished with 16 markers and six boards.
