THE HIGHLY anticipated duel between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 47 kicks off June 24 with Silva hoping that fighting before his adoring fans will mean payback against his 2009 tormentor.
Balls Channel will air the match live at 10 a.m. Studio 23 will also air a same day replay at 11:30 p.m.
Franklin defeated Silva three years ago via unanimous decision.
Silva, “The Axe Murderer,” has said he prepared hard for the rematch with Franklin.
Also in UFC 47, Brazilian grappling legend Fabricio Werdum battles Chicago Heavyweight Mike Russow. The event will be beamed live from the Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
